Evangelist Smith has a passion for prayer and intercession. Her much loved scripture is -
I Timothy 2:1-4 (KJV)
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth”.
Evangelist Smith has a passion to help first ladies and shepherdess to inspire them and equip them to serve in the spirit of excellence. She has a number of initiatives designed for pastor’s wives and shepherdess.’ That vision includes a monthly pastor’s wives institute to help them grow personally and spiritually for kingdom and community impact. This will include monthly sessions dealing with role, spiritual growth, leadership and empowerment, communication building, personal development and well-being, creativity and innovation and goal setting. Other initiatives include holding a Pastors and Elders Wives conference, and developing a mentoring program for new first ladies. This program is designed to Mentoring Program for New Pastors’ Wives.
Oftentimes, new pastors' wives are seeking support and guidance. This mentoring program is designed to offer a safe space for pastors' wives to share their experiences, receive encouragement, and find community. The mentoring program will offer practical guidance and advice rooted in biblical principles, focusing on topics relevant to the role of a pastor's wife, such as maintaining a healthy marriage, supporting the spouse's ministry, and managing stress, tips for navigating the complexities of being a pastor's wife, including opportunities for ministry and building a team to support mentees, and so on.
The program is designed to provide support and encouragement to new pastors’ wives, helping them navigate through the unique challenges of their role and to empower pastors’ and ministers’ wives to discover their God-ordained destiny and fulfill that destiny.
This will include the development of “The Ultimate List of Resources for Pastors’ Wives.” This guide includes books and devotionals, and a supportive community for pastors' wives, offering resources for ministry, self-care, spiritual nourishment, and role clarification. This guide also will be a great help for pastors’ wives in small churches. The aim is to provide resources aimed at supporting pastors’ wives.
We also endeavor to host a jurisdictional annual prayer breakfast/summit as a yearly event – where women from all walks of life come together to pray.
Evangelist Smith is one of God’s prized possessions, a beautiful example of a woman of prayer, of woman who stands for holiness and lives by precept and example, a first lady, an administrative assistant’s wife, a superintendent’s wife, a bishop’s wife, a mother, a teacher and a leader. She is an embodiment of unconditional love, devoted to the service of all humanity.
